Middle Years Program (MYP) at PWMS

Pueblo West Middle School and Pueblo West High School are working toward becoming an IB Middle Years Program World School.  Ninth grade students who enter Pueblo West High School the fall of 2012 will have the opportunity to be part of the IB Middle Years Program.

International Baccalaureate is a worldwide educational organization known for assisting schools to develop challenging academic programs of international education and rigorous assessment.  IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.  Pueblo West Middle School is currently implementing the Middle  Years Program (MYP) with certain teachers.  Currently there are 11 teachers that are implementing the MYP program.  During the 2012-2013 school year all teachers at Pueblo West Middle School will be implementing the MYP Program.
